"Heart-OP without narcosis

Salzburg - Anyone who has doubts about his nickname, "Iron-Renz," now know definitively why Sharks defender Andy Renz is so called.
Friday, he underwent the surgery in Munich at heart. Over the bar was deserted with a probe for his heart-rhythm disorders responsible nerve. Even Saturday he was back in Salzburg with the team-mates in the gang. But that's not enough - the 31-year-old experienced the surgery fully conscious!
"I had not counted on, that was a gross feeling," Renz admits: "But they could not put me under anesthesia because she had to find the nerve that is causing the rapid heart beat."
He even looked at the monitor, as the doctors made the probe through his body: "They have taken on the first try, my heart rate soared from 60 to 170." A direct hit with stray, because the body that are now deserted had, was probably dangerous. Renz: "The professor said that she would have to meet exactly, otherwise it would have been related to the competitive sport. Not a nice feeling when there rummachen two, three doctors and three nurses on you ... "
But everything went perfectly - a half hours after the surgery was done. "That may take up to four hours," says Renz: "And 98 percent would have done it now with heart trouble."
The next good news comes from team-mate Robert Mueller, who had undergone the last Monday in Heidelberg, a brain surgery. "He has been in touch with me soon after my surgery," says Renz: "Robert feels better again, had been shopping with Jenny. Hopefully we can now back up. "Renz on Monday even wants to first make attempts jogging - why is the man of iron-Renz.
